I started this year with the megasquirt installed. It had some good points but there were some issues I just didn’t feel comfortable with. It’s not the MS, it was my setup – I don’t have enough information about the injectors I’m using. I have a few sets all obtained with stuff I bought off of ebay at various times.
I was out working (playing?) with it the other day and my wife said “Why don’t you just go buy what ever part you need for it so we can drive it?” Ouch! I said “Well, it’s not that anything is broken, I’ve been messing with it trying to get it better.” and she says “You mean that all this time it’s not broken – we’re not driving it because you’re screwing with it?”
So I took off the MS and put the Edelbrock 1405 back on. Got the tune up kit for the 1405, tuned it in and it’s running great. Put almost 500 miles on it so far in the last month. I’ll post more about tuning the 1405 in a bit.
