Looked for parts for the T55 but that didn’t work out. Was offered two for pickup but they were of unknown quality. So, I decided to follow the crowd and go for a T5. Checked around for a few weeks and ended up with a T5 from an S10. I know it’s not a world class but I’m going to give it a try. It’s got a what should be a better ratio than the t5. A bit better low gear and a touch better 5th. We’ll see how it goes. If it doesn’t work there are a million other out there.
Got it all cleaned up and painted, got a shifter for it but need to pick up the shifter bushing, should be a pretty standard GM part.
