One of the things that was always prevalent in the car was heat - but not from the heater from the floor and firewall. While browsing the web I did a bit of research into sound deadning and decided to go with the Eastwood insulation panels.
Here’s some pics of it installed. It does make a big difference in the sound of the car even just sitting. While working on it as I added the stuff I could hear the sound of the car change just by the knocking around doing things in it – much deader – the metal ringing that happens with any metal panel is gone. It also didn’t need to be fully covered – just throw a large piece on an area and it quieted right down.
I’m going back today and do the inside of the doors. I’ll let you know what it does to the sound when it’s on the road. Which is hopefully soon.
Also added some in the doors. I put strips on the outer skin and also cut some squares and put them in inside the door on the inside metal.
